About
The Cincinnati Reds have been nothing short of mediocre over the past 17 years. Yes, they have a couple recent National League Central Division Championships to their name, but they have not won a single playoff series since 1995. Despite this dubious streak of mediocrity, the media covering the Reds — particularly the print media — has adopted a sycophantic, never-question-the-franchise stance when it comes to analyzing this lowly franchise. In fact, it is the fans who receive the brunt of the criticism from the likes of John Fay and Mark Sheldon. This blog will analyze the way the media portrays the Reds and — hopefully — act as a counter to the never-ending sycophancy and access seeking of Fay and Sheldon.
